R. J. Draper & Co Ltd is a family business which was established in 1937. Our factory is based in Glastonbury in the South West of England, which is traditionally the centre for England’s sheepskin industry. Four generations of the Draper family have run the company, and we have been manufacturing in our Glastonbury factory for more than 85 years, making us the oldest sheepskin footwear maker in the United Kingdom today. We specialise in making luxurious leather and sheepskin slippers, sheepskin boots, gloves and rugs, for both men and women, in traditional English designs which are popular throughout the world. Our footwear takes up to four weeks to manufacture, and we only use the finest leathers and sheepskins available. If you need assistance or advice, please contact us to speak to one of the Draper family.
We started making sheepskin footwear more than 85 years ago and the company is still owned by the Draper family. There is a rich history of sheepskin in the Glastonbury area, showing evidence of leathermaking on our site in 1888 and the Glastonbury area itself has been famous for sheepskin since the 12th century when the Glastonbury monks started tanning skins. We make beautiful sheepskin moccasins and sheepskin gloves using traditional techniques.
We use the finest materials to craft our sheepskin booties, slippers, boots, gloves and sheepskin mules. We offer a wide range of styles, colours, and sizes for both women and men. Each pair of sheepskin slippers are handmade and take around four weeks to be finished. Our range of real sheepskin slippers, leather, and suede footwear are popular worldwide. Our styles of lambswool slippers range from the traditional to the modern, which change from season to season, based on the latest fashion trends.
